Microsoft Office Activation 2010

 

  1. Log in using an account with Local Administrator privileges.

  2. Confirm that your Date, Time and Region Settings are correct. Activation may not work if these are set wrong.

  3. Activation requires a secure campus network connection. If you are off campus, you will need to setup VPN. VPN download and instructions.

  4. Go to Start → All Programs → Accessories → Command Prompt.

  5. Right-click the Command Prompt program entry.

  6. Select Run as Administrator. This is important, activation will not complete if you do not run as Administrator.
     
  7. At the prompt type, type the following command and press enter:
    cd\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office14
    (if you are running Windows 64 bit replace "Program Files" with "Program Files (x86)")
     
  8. Now you should see either
         C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office14> or
         C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office\Office14>
     
  9. Type: cscript ospp.vbs /sethst:kms.cc.columbia.edu
    (wait for the command to finish executing)
     
  10. Type: cscript ospp.vbs /act
    (wait for the command to finish executing)
     
  11. You have now successfully activated Microsoft Office.
