Professional Development Programs and Resources

Our professional development programs have been created specifically for our CUIT talent to provide the necessary tools to allow for a progressive career within CUIT.

Lunch & Learn Series (CUIT)

The Lunch & Learn 101 Series is designed to encourage organizational knowledge and cross-departmental collaboration through introductions to the functions and responsibilities of our colleagues within CUIT. These sessions are recurring and assist staff in better understanding our University customers and the services we provide to the campus community.

The Lunch & Learn Speaker Series provides an opportunity for experiential learning from subject matter experts in a variety of fields. These discussions include open forums for asking questions, discussing trends, and exploring the latest challenges, opportunities and innovations in the technology space.

Mentorship Program (CUIT)

Leveraging the incredible variety of skills and talent we have right here within CUIT, mentees will be exposed to new areas of our operations while benefiting from the experience and expertise of their mentors. Mentors will have the opportunity to share their knowledge, insights, and perspectives, resulting in a mutually rewarding personal and professional development experience for both individuals.

Women in Technology (CUIT)

The mission of WIT@ Columbia is to attract, develop, connect, and retain women in all facets of technology across the Columbia Community. WIT was launched in early 2017 to start the conversation of how to address the diversity challenges within the tech industry. WIT is all-inclusive and open to to everyone.

Technical and/or Soft Skills Training (CUIT)

Each senior leader within the CUIT organization is provided with a training budget to be utilized by their staff for the advancement of technical and/or soft skills. Employees are encouraged to discuss training requests with their manager.
