Columbia provides programs to help students, faculty, and staff make personal purchases of computers and software, as well as an institutional purchasing program for departments.
Apple and Dell offer individuals the same corporate discounts provided to Columbia departments. Additional personal and institutional discounts are also available from certain other University-contracted vendors through Purchasing's Preferred Vendor List.

PCard users note: Purchases made through Dell Personal Purchases and the Apple Individual Store will be charged sales tax. Purchases made through Dell Institutional Purchases and the Apple Institutional Store are tax exempt.

Discounted pricing is available on all products, but we receive our largest discount on commonly purchased institutional systems and product-bundled packages, and include a minimum three-year warranty.
The P-Card is accepted for Institutional purchases.

FACULTY and STAFF: STEPS TO REGISTER for PO PURCHASES
Columbia University faculty and staff who purchase Apple equipment with a PO must complete a one-time registration at the URL below to ensure access to the correct Columbia University store with additional discounts.
If you're already an Authorized Online Purchaser (you have ability to push PO's through online), please go to the URL below and verify that your Apple ID and password is still working.
1) myaccess.apple.com Click Sign Up and go through the steps. Once completed, you will receive a "Welcome Email" which will confirm you now have access to the ecommerce.apple.com online education store for your purchases and quotes. You'll receive approval in 24 hours.
2) Problems? Call 800-800-2775 and choose option 6.
3) Once approved, bookmark this site ecommerce.apple.com to log in and create your quotes.
