Columbia provides programs to help students, faculty, and staff make personal purchases of computers and software, as well as an institutional purchasing program for departments.
Apple and Dell offer individuals the same corporate discounts provided to Columbia departments. Additional personal and institutional discounts are also available from certain other University-contracted vendors through Purchasing's Preferred Vendor List.

PCard users note: Purchases made through Dell Personal Purchases and the Apple Individual Store will be charged sales tax. Purchases made through Dell Institutional Purchases and the Apple Institutional Store are tax exempt.

Pricing has been negotiated to meet the unique needs of our institution. Discounted pricing is available on all products, but we receive our largest discount on commonly purchased institutional systems and product-bundled packages, and include a minimum three-year warranty.
