Student Information Systems Support and Development — SIS

Management and administration of Columbia's Student Information Systems.

CUIT’s Student Applications Systems Development team provides operational support, enhancements and third-party application integration development for Columbia’s Student Information System (SIS). SIS at Columbia University is an integrated mainframe computing system which includes admissions, transcripts, billing, and housing functions for all schools and departments at the University.

SIS features include:

  • Administration of Student Accounts, Student Records, and Student Admissions
  • Contains housing reference data
  • Interfaces with internal systems, including PAC, PowerFAIDS, SSOL, and ARC
  • Interfaces with affiliate schools, such as Barnard and Teachers College
  • Interfaces with vendors, including ACS (loans), Nelnet (billing), NextGen (work study), National Clearing House, and admissions systems
