The Deployment Team is involved in automation development of mission critical services on multi-platforms and support for critical applications. This includes EBIS, ECRT, EDM, InfoEd, SIS, PowerFAIDS and the PeopleSoft applications ARC and PAC, all of which run on various platforms (i.e. Unix, Linux, Windows, PeopleSoft and Z/OS). The team also is responsible for identifying job dependencies and integration among these platforms. The team works closely with application owners and developers to design, test, coordinate, document and manage change in sequencing and automating background (batch) processes.
Automation includes replacing manual tasks to create a "Lights Out" environment, and integrating with our ticketing tool to automatically open, update and close incident tickets. The automated tasks are also integrated with an alerting and on-call management tool for remote remediation of failed jobs that block production batch processing.
The team is also responsible for mainframe code/job migration to production and application backup/restore for the SIS application, as well as Tier 2/3 24x7x365 support for all job processing issues.
